Rev. Ringle Taube preached gospel and founded many churches for about a decade from 25th April 1806 to 5th Feb 1816 in Kanyakumari District. During 1810 to 1812 he stayed at Udayagiri Fort and preached gospel in the nearby places including Moolachel and many churches were established.
